It’s dog days of summer again. Sidewalks shimmer while the buzz of insects adds a new sound track to the stifling heat. It’s time for the final rotation of everything linen I have in my closet. Despite the pleasures of back yard barbeques and last days at the pool, humidity and that sticky feeling make me long for Labor Day.
Living in the city is especially grimy in this weather. On a walk down Michigan Avenue we get blasted with the smell of exhaust . I can imagine the air pollution choking our pores. Despite these wilting conditions, I am happy to see so many women with a fresh faced beauty, who are taking good care of their skin. They look as fresh as the Lake breeze.
These final days of summer are something I’m used to. For years I had a spa in Water Tower, right here on Michigan Avenue. It was a summer like this one that inspired me to develop Rodica’s Cleansing Mask. In weather like this I advise my customers to use it once a week to remove the impurities that have settled in their skin. The mask is an instant light peel and is good for all skin types. My recipe uses a bromeliad derivative and like all my products it is made with my special recipe in Europe in very small batches. When I see these fresh faced beauties on Michigan Avenue, I like to think that our products help keep Chicago beautiful.
